ENVJUSTICE – EJAtlas team at ICTA – UAB in collaboration with the European Environmental Bureau (EEB) and Human Rights activists developed a thematic map on environmental racism against Roma communities in Central and South-Eastern Europe.
Roma communities undergo enormous environmental injustices due to their ethnicity and race. Segregation, racism, intolerance, discrimination, violence, exclusion, unequal access to natural resources – these are just some of the issues that Roma face on a daily basis. The map explores and analyses the injustices experienced by Roma in Bulgaria, Slovakia, Romania, Hungary, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and Kosovo.
