Sara Mingorría is a Post-Doc researcher in the Environmental Science and Technology Institute of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (ICTA-UAB). She Holds a BSc in Environmental Science from the UAM (Spain) and PUC (Brasil), a MSc in Ecological Economics and PhD in Environmental Studies from the UAB (Spain). Her PhD was focused on oil palm and sugarcane conflicts in Guatemala. She was part of the team making documentaries about environmental-conflicts in Central America and a human rights research group in Latin America and Europe. She is currently interested in studying environmental conflicts in Asia and compare oil palm conflicts around the world. “Agro-ecological project in a village, without city crowds, but with friends, makes it all worth it”.
